Building description

Altus remains the tallest (30 storeys above ground level) building in the city and one of biggest mixed-used investments in Poland, with a total area of about 69 000 square meters. The Altus scheme was constructed in a form of three cuboids sharing a spacious 4-storey high atrium. Apart from the office space for lease, it consists of a shopping centre, cinema, fitness club and hotel. The project offers also a 3-level underground car park with 564 parking spaces and a car wash. The office space in the Altus building meets the most rigorous quality and safety standards including: raised floors and suspended ceilings, modern air-conditioning and telecommunication systems, BMS (Building Management System), fully integrated fire protection system, as well as 18 lifts and 6 escalators.

The undeniable advantage of Altus is its attractive location in the very heart of Katowice, right at the crossing of Uniwersytecka and Piastowska streets, in close proximity to the sports and concert hall known as the Saucer and the General J. Ziętek roundabout. Altus lies within a walking distance of the major administrative, business and cultural institutions of the city (currently the construction of International Congress Centre, National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and new seat of Silesian Museum). Its location also guarantees a convenient communication with different parts of the city, both by means of public transportation and by car. The vicinity of the main communication routes of the region makes it very simple to get from Altus to Balice or Pyrzowice airports.
