The Norblin Factory received BREEAM pre-certification at the Very Good level on the office and service space while still in the design stage. After all, the office space was rated at the Excellent level, thereby advancing to a higher level.
The final rating was influenced by new solutions recently implemented. A closed plastic cycle was introduced at the Norblin Factory, which will save about 680 kilograms of single-use plastic per year, which will translate into a carbon footprint reduction of 2,670 kilograms. Also, a photovoltaic installation has been added to the complex.
The entire post-factory area of the complex has managed to plant more than 100 trees, two urban apiaries have been established and the office buildings’ roofs are green. In addition, Poland's first automated underground parking for bicycles, along with four charging stations for electric and hybrid cars, was built on the Norblin Factory site.
