The owner of the plot of land located at ONZ Roundabout, opposite the Rondo 1 skyscraper has just confirmed the information given by the press at the beginning of the year - Ilmet office building will be demolished. At this place will arise a 200-meters high modern skyscraper offering three times more office space for lease than current capability.
The decision to demolish the building was caused by low efficiency of the object in connection with the extension of the city center area and the second underground line, running just by the ONZ Roundabout scheduled for 2013.
Architectural concept was prepared by the Danish design studio - Schmidt Hammer Lasen. Demolition start date has not yet been made public.
