The office building Concept Tower as the first commercial property in Poland to have both a LEED and BREEAM ratings

Concept Development BSD 2 LLC has committed to certify its new investment in Warsaw, Concept Tower, under both LEED and BREEAM ratings. The certification processes will be managed by the sustainability accredited professionals of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Concept Tower will be located on Grzybowska Street in the dynamically developing Wola district of Warsaw. The 15-storey tower will offer approximately 8,500 sqm of rentable office space and 101 underground parking spaces. The building was designed with environmental friendliness and healthy indoor environment being of prime importance. Its completion is planned for September 2012.

Regina Gul, a sustainability accredited professional at Jones Lang LaSalle, LEED Green Associate and BREEAM Assessor, commented “According to Jones Lang LaSalle’s estimates, in Poland there was around 250,000 sqm of existing certified green office buildings as of March 2012. Warsaw is currently the greenest Polish city in terms of volume (sqm) of green office buildings, followed by Łódź and Katowice. Office buildings with another 500,000 sqm of space which are now under construction are currently applying for green certification, which is the largest pipeline of green buildings under construction among the countries of CEE.

Having both LEED and BREEAM ratings, Concept Tower will meet the most rigorous European standards for sustainability in the built environment and will be the first commercial property in Poland to acquire both green certifications.”
