The property developer Virako has announced its plans to carry out a new project in the center of Łódź. Monopolis, emerging in place of the old Monopol Wódczany on the corner of Piłsudskiego and Kopcińskiego Streets, will offer both office and retail space to its tenants. The developer will also provide a vast cultural, recreation and gastronomic offer.
The investment will include 23 400 sq m of modern offices - 7 000 sq m in the historic, postindustrial M1 and 8 050 sq m and 8 350 sq m in the M2 and M3 buildings respectively. Open space fit-out has been planned in the edifices. The complex will be obtaining the BREEAM certificate on the levels "very good" and "excellent".
The construction work is due to begin in the second half of the year. The M1 building will be commissioned in the second half of 2018 and M2 and M3 buildings are to be completed in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
