The Metropolitan office building on Piłsudski Square is undergoing extensive modernization. Reconstruction of the building began a few days ago. All the trees that have been growing there for years have been removed from the inner courtyard. The popular fountain, which attracted Varsovians and tourists in the summer, will also disappear from here.
The reconstruction will include the renovation of the roof. The courtyard will get a new look with rich green areas of about 570 sqm. Dozens of trees of various sizes will be planted. The area in front of the building's facade, looking from the Grand Theater, will also be enriched with new plants.
The Metropolitan offers more than 37,000 sqm of high-class office space and about 3,300 sqm of retail and services on the first floor. The complex provides underground parking with facilities for electric vehicles and infrastructure for cyclists. The building boasts prestigious BREEAM, WELL Health-Safety Rating and WiredScore certifications.
